How to Check Your Guwahati University B.Ed Result 2026
Gauhati University provides a couple of easy ways for students to check their entrance test performance. You can either download the master list or check your individual dashboard. Here is how you can do it:
- Check the Official Notification Page: The university administration will upload the complete merit list and result sheet as a PDF file directly on the official website's notification page.

What to Do After Cracking the Entrance Exam?
Congratulations! If your name successfully made it to the merit list, the real journey begins now. Here is what you must do next to secure your seat:
- Understand the Tie-Breaker Rule: In case two candidates secure the exact same marks, the university resolves it by comparing the ratio of positive to negative marks. If the tie persists, the candidate with fewer unanswered questions is preferred. Finally, if still tied, the older candidate gets a better rank.
- College Selection & Counselling: Please note that appearing on the Gauhati University merit list does not automatically guarantee you a seat in a specific college. You will have to apply independently to affiliated B.Ed colleges based on your rank and preference.
- Strict Document Verification: As clearly stated in the official notification, your eligibility criteria will be strictly verified directly by the respective colleges during admission. Make sure you have your original degree mark sheets, caste certificates, and GUBEDCET admit card ready. Even if you hold a high rank, failing to fulfill NCTE eligibility norms at the college level will result in immediate cancellation.
- Pay the Admission Fee: Once the college administration verifies your documents and confirms your allotment, pay the course fee promptly to lock in your admission for the academic year.
